Riot Games first announced League o Legends: Wild Rift exactly a year ago. It’s basically the same game as the PC MOBA, but with some tweaks to make it more console- and mobile-friendly. Now, the company is announcing a Regional Open Beta. This involves Malaysia, as well as Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Japan and South Korea.
As part of the Regional Open Beta, League of Legends: Wild Rift is also getting new content. This includes a new Champion, Lee Sin the Blind Monk, which PC players of LoL will be familiar with. Riot will also be testing other PC Champions for a few days, and they will be free to play during this time.
If you’ve taken part in the Closed Beta, you can also get extra rewards like Champions and skins. You’ll have to create and link your Riot accounts, and the items will be added to your account later in the year.
But for everyone else, this is an opportunity to try out League of legends: Wild Rift, especially if you’ve missed the Closed Beta. The Regional Open Beta will start on 27 October 2020. You can find out more about the open beta via the game’s website, as well as social media accounts.
