It appears that HONOR is planning to launch new entries to its V-branded smartphones (also known as the View-series outside of China) with the introduction of the V40. News of this was shared by Twitter user and leakster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), who uploaded a supposedly leaked teaser image featuring the smartphone series.
Aside from providing the said image, the leakster suggests that the new HONOR smartphone is expected to see a reveal sometime soon. However, actual details regarding the V40 series’ specifications such as its chipset, RAM configurations, battery and camera setup are still unknown for the time being.

Rumours suggest that the upcoming HONOR V40 may not feature a HiSilicon Kirin processor due to shortages caused by the recent US sanctions imposed on its parent company Huawei. Somag News believes that the phone could instead feature a high-end MediaTek Dimensity processor, and may even come with 66W fast charging. The series is also rumoured to be available in three variants: a standard model, a Pro variant, and a Pro Plus.
However, both the leaked teaser and the hardware speculations are unconfirmed by the company at this time, so do take it with a grain of salt. Whether or not HONOR is planning to unveil the V40 series will only be known when an official announcement is made.
