Huawei has announced that the 2020 refresh of its MateBook 14 laptop will be released in Malaysia soon. The new device is lightweight at only 1.49kg, has a thickness of 15.9mm, and is powered by 7nm AMD Ryzen 4000 H-Series chipsets.
The MateBook 14 2020 is available in two configurations, either with a AMD Ryzen 5 4600H or a Ryzen 7 4800H processor. Both variants are equipped with 16GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB PCI-e SSD storage. As implied in its name, the new MateBook comes with a 14-inch display, which features a resolution of 2160×1440 pixels, 2K FullView IPS and an aspect ratio of 3:2. Worth noting that the Ryzen 7 configuration of the laptop is equipped with a touch-screen display.
The new Huawei laptop includes a fingerprint sensor integrated to its power button, a pop-up webcam on the top row of its keyboard, and features Huawei Share NFC function which allows you to enable multi-screen collaboration with a compatible mobile device by the brand. In terms of connectivity, the MateBook 14 2020 features a single USB-C port for both charging and data transfer, two USB-A 3.2 Gen-1 ports, a HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also runs on the 64-bit version of Windows 10 Home Edition out of the box.
The laptop is powered by a 56Wh battery which Huawei claims is capable of lasting up to 11 hours of use. It also includes support for 65W fast charging via USB-C.
Huawei has not confirmed an exact release date for the Huawei MateBook 14 2020. Further details regarding the new laptop, especially its pricing, is expected to be announced by the company soon.
