The Apple TV Plus service was first announced last year. The company also provided a free trial for the service for those who bought the company’s products last year, starting 1 November. The free trial was set to end in November this year. But the iPhone maker has since extended it to February next year.
More specifically, the free trial will now be extended to 31 January. But this will only be reflected in the February billing date. The company is also giving away credit equal to an Apple TV Plus subscription a month. Eligible customers will also not have to do anything to get the credit.
This is good news for those who currently have the free trial of the Apple TV Plus service running. The service does have a number of exclusive shows. If you’re one of those who’ve had the questionable fortune of having nothing left to watch on Netflix, then you have some more time to watch everything on Apple’s equivalent.
Apple may be hoping that the longer trial period will result in more paid subscribers at the end. But on the flip side, the people are really capable of exhausting all Netflix has to offer, then they’re likely to do the same with this one.
