NetherRealm Studios has a massive pool of guest characters for its fighting game Mortal Kombat 11. It is one of the many benefits of being a subsidiary of Warner Brothers. And now, the studio has announced its next movie icon to join the game, and it’s John Rambo.
The character appears with the look from the first two movies, sporting the red bandana. And unlike with the Terminator, Rambo in Mortal Kombat 11 is voiced by Sylvester Stallone himself. This is confirmed by series co-creator Ed Boon on Twitter.

Rambo will be added to Mortal Kombat 11 as part of the game’s Kombat Pack 2, which is the equivalent of a season pass 2. Other characters that will be added as part of this DLC set include Rain and Mileena. Both of them appeared in the last game, though the former was a CPU-exclusive character and the latter was canonically killed.
Alongside the release of Kombat Pack 2, Mortal Kombat 11 will also be getting an Ultimate edition. As the name suggests, this comes with the Aftermath expansion and both Kombat Packs 1 and 2. The game will also be getting a free next-gen console upgrade for those who already own the game. Both the Kombat Pack 2, as well as the Ultimate Edition, will be released on 17 November.
