We originally believe that Apple would officially launch its new iPhone line-up on 15 September but we were presented with an Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE, 8th gen iPad, and 4th gen iPad Air instead. This obviously means that the next-generation iPhone would be announced at a separate event and we believe that is going to happen on 13 October.
Some 40 minutes ago, Apple announced that it will broadcast another special event from Apple Park on 13 October 2020 at 10:00 AM local time. For us Malaysians, that means 1:00 AM on 14 October 2020.
Interesting enough, Apple has included the phrase “Hi, Speed” inside the note that it has sent to members of the media with regards to the special event. Based on the information that we have been hearing for the past few months, the phrase may be a reference to 5G connectivity, 120Hz display, or a new processor.
Plenty of chatters online have been discussing the possibility of Apple launching four different variants of iPhone 12 which include screen sizes of 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch. There are also several other new products that have persistently appeared within the rumour mill such as AirPod Studios over-ear headphones, HomePod Mini, and AirTags.
Well then, stay tuned for the 13 October (14 October for Malaysia) event to check out the latest products that Apple will unleash to consumers very soon.
