OPPO Malaysia today has launched its latest mid-range smartphone, the OPPO A93, in Malaysia. The phone is actually a rebranded OPPO F17 Pro that was originally introduced in India earlier last month.
The OPPO A93 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. On the top left corner of its screen is a pill-shaped dual punch-hole cutout that houses a 16MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. An in-display fingerprint sensor is also included in terms of device security.
Under its hood, the A93 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P95 chipset that is paired with 8GB LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD. Other than that, the new smartphone comes with OPPO’s ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10 and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 8W fast charging support via USB-C.
In terms of photography, the A93 features a quad rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP main sensor, a 8MP wide angle, 2MP mono, and a 2MP depth sensor. Video-wise, the phone is capable of recording 4K at 30 fps and 1080p at up to 120fps.
The new OPPO A93 smartphone will be available in Malaysia on 10 October 2020 at the brand’s physical and online stores, as well as selected official dealers. The device comes in either Matte Black or Metallic White colours, and is retailing at RM1,299 with pre-orders now open starting 6 to 9 October. OPPO noted that those who pre-order the phone are entitled to receive an exclusive OPPO branded umbrella and Bluetooth speaker.
