Rumours and leaks have been steadily appearing and pointing to the existence of other SKUs in NVIDIA’s new GeForce RTX 30 series. The most recent leak now lists down what could potentially be a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, courtesy of Gigabyte.
Evidence of the alleged RTX 3060 Ti’s existence was discovered on the brand’s listing via the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). In total, there are four SKUs of the alleged card listed here, all with the code “N306T” written in them. In addition, we also know that Gigabyte plans on releasing these so-called RTX 3060 Ti models across its AORUS, Gaming, and Eagle lineup.
Beyond that, there still isn’t a whole lot of official details about the card. However, past rumours have suggested that the card could feature 8GB GDDR6 graphics memory running at 14Gbps, 4864 CUDA cores, 152 Tensor cores, 38 RT Cores, and 256-bit memory bus, among other things. Given these numbers, some are speculating that its performance will be somewhere between the RTX 2080 Super and RTX 2080 Ti.
On a related note, this isn’t the first time Gigabyte has had information about unreleased cards leak. Last month, the company let slip the existence of three other cards on its AORUS produce page.
Also, NVIDIA’s habit of releasing additional SKUs within its GPU series over time is nothing new; a few months after the official announcement of its high-end GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080, and RTX 2070. The brand followed up with the RTX 2060 during CES 2019. Months later, the Super variants of those cards made their way to the masses.
