As promised, Xiaomi has officially shown the new Mi 10T series to the world last night which consisted of three phones including the Mi 10T Pro. Prior to the global launch, the company has stated that the new series will be made available in Malaysia soon.
Naturally, the actual release date and pricing for the Mi 10T series will likely be revealed at the Malaysian launch event on 6 October. However, Xiaomi earlier today teased the price point for the Mi 10T Pro through Xiaomi Malaysia’s Facebook page.
Based on the picture above, that means the price for Mi 10T Pro with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage in Malaysia will not go more than RM 2,000. This is rather interesting as the 8GB/256GB configuration is the maximum memory and storage option that Xiaomi has on the Mi 10T Pro according to last night’s announcement.
Furthermore, the announcement also stated that the phone costs EU 649 (~RM 3,159). While phones in Europe do have a higher price tag than Malaysia, a difference of more than RM 1,000 is quite substantial. So, let’s see on 6 October if the sub-RM 2,000 price tag is really the actual pricing for the Mi 10T Pro or a marketing promo.
