Razer has announced that it will be hosting its first ever full-day convention in October, albeit via livestream. The event, known aptly as RazerCon 2020, will be showcasing the brand’s new products, as well as offering previews of upcoming PC games and content from many of its premium partners. This would also be the second online event hosted by the company this year.
The online convention will begin with a keynote from Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan, featuring a backdrop of Singapore’s skyline that has been enhanced with “immersive mixed-reality technology” that incorporates augmented real-time effects and live-composited visuals. This would then be followed by reveals of new products by the brand, previews of upcoming games including Empire of Sin and Torchlight 3, as well as content from partners such as Intel, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Perfect World Entertainment, Capcom, and many more.
The brand also touts RazerCon 2020 to be the world’s first “RGB lighting-reactive” livestream, which would have the viewers’ Razer Chroma-enabled devices (if any) to synchronise along with the audio and visuals presented during the event in real-time. The upcoming convention will also feature post-show performances from “top EDM artists”, metal band Sabaton, and DragonForce’s Herman Li.
RazerCon 2020 will be kicking off on 10 October at 9am PST (12am local time) and will be livestreamed across the brand’s major social network channels including Twitch, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. To view the full schedule of the upcoming event, please refer to this link.
