Macpie Distribution, the local-based authorised distributor for HMD Global has revealed that the new Nokia 2.4 smartphone will be released in Malaysia soon. The phone was initially unveiled by HMD a few days ago along with another model, the Nokia 3.4.
The Nokia 2.4 features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch, and a fingerprint sensor is located on its back. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, paired with up to 3GB RAM and internal storage of up to 64GB (expandable via microSD). Powering the smartphone is a 4,500mAh battery that is chargeable via micro-USB.
As for optics, on the rear side of the phone is a dual camera setup comprised of a 13MP main shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. Housed within the notch on the display of the Nokia 2.4 is a 5MP front-facing camera.
Besides announcing the new device’s upcoming arrival in Malaysia, the distributor has not revealed its pricing or release date at this time. For reference, the Nokia 2.4 will launch in Europe towards the end of September this year, and is priced from EUR120 (~RM582).
