It has been years since Valve’s Left 4 Dead 2 got a content update. After a very long time, the game finally gets one, called The Last Stand. Valve says this is one created entirely by the L4D community, which adds new survival arenas, weapons, animations, dialogue lines, and more.
A prominent one among them is The Last Stand extended campaign, which adds a story mission based on the Lighthouse survival map. Speaking of survival maps, there are 26 new ones too. And naturally, there’s an extended list of bug fixes as well.
Left 4 Dead 2 was released all the way back in 2009, making it nearly 11 years old. But despite being such an old game, it’s had a continuous following from its loyal community. So much so, in fact, that it has had an average of 10000 players every month. With the new update, there will probably be a spike of players returning to check out the new content drop.
The Last Stand Update for Left 4 Dead 2 is already available, according to its launch trailer. And it launched at the perfect time. Since its the weekend, it’s probably a good idea to get your friends to join you in seeing what the massive update is all about.
