ASUS recently announced its collaboration with ACRONYM, the Germany-based fashion and apparel maker fame for its “techwear”, to create a special edition ROG Zephyrus G14. Officially called the ROG Zephyrus G14 ACRNM RMT01, ASUS says that this laptop’s design will utilise “leading-edge machining”, engraving, finishing, and painting techniques.
To put it plainly, both the ACRNM RMT01 and its accessories will be painted in an all-black motif, along with a set of symbols peppering the both back of the display and bottom of its base. Inside, the keyboard will sport a unique colour palette. That mimic the colours of a European forest.
Aesthetics notwithstanding, the laptop’s is still an ROG Zephyrus G14 at its core. As such, you’re getting an AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS CPU, 32GB DDR4 RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q GPU, 1TB NVMe SSD, and a 14-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS display with 60Hz refresh rate.
For the uninitiated, ACRONYM was founded back in 1994 by Errolson Hugh. The brand is renown for its state-of-the-art and cutting-edge techwear that is typically designed in line with the latest technology. To date, the company has designed several clothing lines for Nike and Arc’Teryx, as well as the several articles of virtual clothing within the games such as 2016’s Deux Ex: Mankind Divided.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, ACRNM RMT01 is slated for availability in October this year, although the company did not specify an exact launch date. That said, the brand is already set for taking preorders for the machine, which will retail for RM11299. Additionally, the notebook will come with a special edition casing for ease of transport.
