Even though Samsung already held two virtual events involving multiple Galaxy devices including Galaxy Note20 series and Galaxy Fold2 for the past two months, it turns out that the company is not yet done with its Galaxy Unpacked events. Earlier today, Samsung has announced that there will be yet another Galaxy Unpacked session very soon.
Set to take place on 23 September, the full name of the event is “Galaxy Unpacked for Every Fan”. Given the “fan” reference in the name, it is quite possible that the title is referring to the much-rumoured Galaxy S20 FE.
The FE moniker was first used on the Galaxy Note Fan Edition in 2017 but this time around, the Galaxy S20 FE is not made from refurbished units though. Instead, it is a new model altogether that is generally a spiritual successor to the Galaxy S10 Lite and would provide a more affordable entry point for the Galaxy S20 series.
According to leaks within the scene so far, the Galaxy S20 FE is powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or Samsung Exynos 990 depending on the region. Additionally, the Snapdragon version will apparently feature 5G support while the Exynos model is limited to 4G network.
Other than that, the phone will also come with 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, 6.5-inch Full HD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED display, 12MP triple-camera module, 32MP selfie camera, and 4500mAh battery. Well then, let’s see how these leaked specs will be when the launch event takes place next week.
