It appears that the OPPO Watch will finally see a Malaysian launch soon, as teased by the official Instagram and Facebook accounts of OPPO Malaysia. The watch was initially unveiled back in March this year, alongside the brand’s Find X2 flagship smartphone.
Since it has been about six months since we last heard of the device, here’s a quick refresher. The OPPO Watch features a curved AMOLED panel with 326 ppi, an aluminium body, and is rated 5ATM for water resistance. It also comes in two different sizes: 46mm and 41mm.

Under the hood is a Snapdragon Wear 2500 chipset with an Apollo 3 co-processor, 8GB internal storage, and runs on a wearables version of the company’s ColorOS. Connectivity-wise, the OPPO Watch features support for eSIM, GPS, NFC, and Bluetooth 4.2.
The brand claims that the watch is able to last up to 40 hours on a single charge, and up to 21 days when running on its power saving profile. It also supports OPPO’s Watch VOOC fast-charging, which allows it to charge up to 50-percent in less than 20 minutes.
OPPO Malaysia has yet to announce the local release date for the new smartwatch. With the first teaser already out, we’ll be sure to be expecting more information regarding the OPPO Watch from the company soon.
