Following the unveiling of the new Frames audio sunglasses, Bose also announced two new TWS earbuds, the QuietComfort (QC) Earbuds and Sport Earbuds. Both devices are planned to be released towards the end of September.
The QC Earbuds features high-end noise cancelling via Bose’s own proprietary Active Noise Cancellation) ANC chip and algorithm, as well as multiple built-in microphones. The company claims that the system is able to detect environmental distractions and cancel them out with the appropriate noise-blocking signal in almost an instant. This is also complemented by the earbuds’ StayHear Max tips that further isolates outside sound when worn.
Besides that, the QC Earbuds offer 11 levels of noise cancellation and other customisable noise filters to suit different situations, or for the user’s own personalisation. Users can tweak these settings on their mobile devices by utilising the Bose Connect app. In terms of battery life, the company says that the device is capable of lasting up to six hours on a full charge, with an additional 12 hours via its charging case.
For something that is more… well, sports oriented is the aptly named Bose Sport Earbuds which comes with an IPX4 rating in terms of water and sweat resistance. This model also features the brand’s StayHear Max tips for passive noise isolation, but lacks any ANC features that are found on the QC Earbuds. The Sport Earbuds offer up to five hours of use, with up to 10 hours via the provided charging case.
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are available in black or white colours, and priced at USD280 (~RM1,162). Meanwhile, the Sport Earbuds comes in black, white or blue, and retails at USD179 (~RM742). Both devices are slated to be released on 29 September, but their availability outside of the US has not been confirmed.
