We first heard of Apple planning to bundle its subscription services all the way back in November last year. And it looks like the company may be finally going ahead with its plans to do so.
This discovery came via the decompiling of the Apple Music APK by 9to5Google. Specifically, within the beta of version 3.4, which also included the codename Aristotle. Within it, strings of code basically confirms that the service will be included in a larger bundle of subscription services called Apple One.
There’s also another line that says the music service subscriptions will be included in any Apple One subscriptions. This is so that subscribers will not pay twice for essentially the same service. It’s something to be expected, but it’s good to know nevertheless.
No further details were discovered from the Apple Music APK, which is unfortunate. Other details like what other subscriptions will be included in the bundle, as well as its price, would have been nice to know. But it looks like that will have to wait for an official announcement by the company itself.
As for when one can expect such an announcement, the earliest will likely be 15 September. The company has an event scheduled for the day, which will likely also be the day the new iPad Air and Apple Watch get announced.
