It was rumoured that Apple may announce a brand-new Apple Watch and iPad Air tonight as well as the release date for the finalised version of iOS 14. However, what we got instead is the unveiling of the date for Apple’s next launch event.
As per its WWDC 2020 event earlier this year, Apple has once again chosen to organise the upcoming event virtually. According to its official website, the webcast is scheduled to take place on 15 September at 10 AM PDT which equals to 1 AM Malaysian time on 16 September.
The current chatters within the scene stated that there will be four new iPhone models to be announced at the event including two standard iPhone 12 models that feature 5.4 and 6.1-inch displays. The other two models would be the iPhone 12 Pro with 6.1 and 6.7-inch displays although the shipment of these new phones has apparently been delayed to October.
Since Apple Watch Series 6 and the new iPad Air were no show tonight, then it is natural to expect them to be announced on 15 September alongside the new iPhone 12 line-up. The much-rumoured AirPod Studios over-ear headphones and a new HomePod speaker may debut over there as well.
Well, let’s see how many of these products will actually appear at the 15 September event then.
