Intel’s 11th generation Tiger Lake CPUs are finally here, and true to form, all the company’s partners have begun launching their own set of notebooks, powered by the new 10nm processors. Amidst the sea of brands and notebooks, MSI is one brand reaching out to the professional world and to that end, it’s taking the opportunity to introduce its new range of laptops. Catered for the business realm and professional workspace.
Thin, light, and fuelled by Intel’s latest CPU series, MSI’s new and refreshed Summit, Prestige, and Modern laptop series ensures that there’s a laptop made for just about every working professional, complete with as many enterprise-level features integrated into them.
Reaching the Summit
An opulent design, thin, strong chassis, and loaded with all the enterprise-grade security features any professional would want, the MSI Summit series laptops don’t just look good. They’re built for the purpose-driven professional that value enterprise-grade security over looks. Such features include TPM 2.0, and IR camera, fingerprint scanner, and SD Card lock that offer layers upon layers of protection.
Combine those features with Intel’s new 11th generation Core series CPU and the new Iris Xe graphics, integrated GPU, and what you’re looking at is a business laptop that has up to 20% faster performance and integrated graphics that’s approximately three times faster than its predecessor.
You’re even spoilt for choice with the Summit’s display choices: available in sizes of 14-inches and 15.6-inches, the former is available with either Full HD or 4K resolutions, while the latter only comes with a 4K resolution display.
Prestige and Modern
Moving down the line, we also have MSI’s Prestige and Modern series of productivity-driven laptops. In regards to the former, there is the Prestige 14 Evo that, as you can surmise from its namesake, is powered by Intel’s EVO series 11th generation Core CPUs. Additionally, you get a 14-inch Full HD IPS display with a maximum brightness level of 300 nits, 16GB LPDDR4x RAM, and of course, that ultra-fast NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSD and access to Thunderbolt 4.
If 14-inches isn’t quite up to your standard, though, there’s also the Prestige 15. This model runs on an equally powerful non-EVO 11th generation Intel Core i7, up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q, up to 64GB DDR4 RAM, and a 15.6-inch IPS display that supports up to 4K resolutions.
For those among you with your eyes on MSI’s Modern series laptops, rest assured: the overall design remains the same and the primary difference lies within the machine.
Available in either 14-inches or 15.6-inches, the Modern series can be fitted with up to an 11th generation Core i7 CPU, a choice between an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 or Intel Iris X integrated GPU, up to 32GB DDR4 RAM, and an NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSD. More importantly, laptops in this series still retain their lightweight chassis and design, weighing in at just 1.3kg.
Stealthy, Unsuspecting, Powerful
Do not think for a second that Intel’s new CPU lineup is only being reserved for the professional and creative folks. Within MSI’s gaming lineup is the Stealth 15M, which is one of the brand’s thinnest and lightest gaming laptop.
With a thickness of just 15.95mm and weighing at just under 2kg, the Stealth 15M runs on an 11th generation Intel Core i7 CPU, a far more powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q, that in turn is complemented with a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. Like every other laptop on the list, this lean, mean gaming machine also has access to an NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD and Thunderbolt 4 via USB-C.
