Earlier in the year, Ubisoft sold Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 at a very low price of RM10. Now, the publisher is giving away its predecessor for free on Uplay. You can claim it for absolutely no charge up until 10AM of 8 September 2020.
The game was first released back in 2016, making it over four years old now. And while it did well initially, the game would find itself with balancing issues, which didn’t get solved until near the very end of its life cycle.
Of course, the game now has a sequel, which made some very important gameplay changes compared to the first. If you’re among those that don’t like the changes made to Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, then maybe the first game may be something for you instead. And now’s as good a time as any to claim it, since it’s free.
Of course, Ubisoft is only giving away the base game for free. If you want the complete Tom Clancy’s The Division experience, you’ll need the season pass, which has a 67% discount going for it at the time of writing. And because it’s such an old game, you may have a harder time finding others to play with. Well, legitimate players anyway, as the PC version of the game has had its phase of hacker issues.
This deal also happens to only be a Uplay thing. It’s not free on the PlayStation Store, but for what it’s worth, it’s currently going for a 50% discount.
