Prominent leaker Jon Prosser previously claimed that the new Apple Watch series will be announced on the week of 7 September. This will be alongside the new iPads of the year. These claims have seemingly been corroborated by new listings in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
Apple has filed eight items that appear to be variants of the upcoming Apple Watch Series 6. There are eight items here, split evenly between cellular and GPS-only models. Belonging to the former category are the A2375, A2376, A2355, and A2356, while the A2291, A2292, A2351, and A2352 models represent the latter.
As for the upcoming iPads, seven models have appeared in the EEC filings. These come with the model identifiers A2270, A2316, A2072, A2324, A2325, A2428, and A2429. That being said, these have been added in two separate filings. This likely indicates two different iPad models rather than a split between WiFi-only and mobile data models.
These filings are significant as they are required for encrypted devices to enter Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Though while this suggests that the devices will be announced soon, the date as to when that will happen is still up in the air.
