Epic Games Store (EGS) earlier today has announced several additional payment methods that gamers can utilise to purchase contents within its platform. Interesting enough, the list also includes the support for bank transfer in Malaysia.
Even though order placement page on EGS only showed Maybank2U logo, customers can actually use other local online banking platforms as well to pay for their games including RHB Now, CIMB Clicks, and many more. You can choose your preferred online banking platform on the Xsolla’s payment page, as per our screenshot here:
Meanwhile, do note the bank transfer payment method is meant for one-time payment only. In other words, you can’t directly add your favourite bank into your EGS account as the default payment method which is a good thing if you find yourself prone to purchase things by impulse.
At the same time, EGS still charges Malaysian customers in US Dollar instead of Ringgit Malaysia. Just that, you can now know how much exactly you have to pay in our own currency when you use the bank transfer method, instead of having to calculate it by yourself.
