As a smartphone user today, one of the many concerns that constantly runs through our minds is to ensure our phone always maintains a decent amount of battery life to help us survive the entire day.
Google in an effort to help optimise battery life for Android devices announced that the company has worked on two new updates that are currently running on the beta variant of Chrome (version M85). Both of these updates include the new Profile Guided Optimisation and Tab Throttling feature.
With these new updates being added to the beta release, the Profile Guided Optimisation feature looks to provide much faster browsing responsiveness as compared to previous versions before the update. At the same time, the Tab Throttling feature claims to optimise your device’s battery life by sorting out tabs that have already been running in the background for an extended period of time.
While the updates mentioned above are currently only available on the beta version of Chrome, this feature is of course something many users will look forward to experience when they eventually make their way to the final version of the Chrome app soon.
