A well-known name among gamers in Malaysia especially console lovers, Impulse Gaming has announced that its branch in Johor Bharu, which is the retailer’s first-ever outlet and current headquarters, will be closed down at the end of September. That doesn’t mean Impulse Gaming is scaling down its operations though.
In fact, it is going to be the other way around as Impulse Gaming will be moving its current operation to a bigger space in the form of a stand-alone building not far away from its current branch in Plaza Mentari.
In a post on its Facebook page, the store’s lead man Luke Eng stated that the new two-storey building is expected to be opened sometime in September. With 8000 square feet of space under its command, the new Impulse Gaming HQ will not only cover video games and related accessories but will also feature toys, figurines, trading card games, Gundam, and many more.
Judging from the Facebook post from Luke, the retailer might be planning something to celebrate the launch of the PlayStation 5 later this year. So, the company’s timing to move out to a much larger premise is quite on point.
