Horizon Zero Dawn hasn’t had the smoothest launch on PC, to say the very least. Guerrilla Games has released a new patch to address a number of major issues. Specifically, the new patch tries to address the crashing issue a lot of players have faced with the PC port.
The announcement came via Reddit, of all places. But that’s where Guerrilla has dropped the full patch notes. As mentioned, there’s a strong focus on addressing crashes, but there are also other improvements, such as with auto-saving and facial animations.
But the devs admit that there’s still a lot of issues with Horizon Zero Dawn that have yet to be addressed. Listed as known issues on the post are out of memory errors, GPU-related freezes, and HDR not working properly. There’s also an issue with specific hardware combinations, oddly enough. Guerilla also encourages players to keep reporting issues with the game.
No doubt the process of fixing Horizon Zero Dawn on PC is the way to go. Hopefully, with this, the gameplay experience is improved for those who have had experienced a lot of crashes with the game. Fingers crossed the next patch fixes more of the issues already listed.
