The Marvel’s Avengers game by Square Enix is coming to Steam on 5 September. And the publisher has revealed the minimum and recommended specs for a system to run the game. And even at its minimum, it looks like you need a fairly up-to-date rig to run it.
So lets start with the minimum. Square Enix says you’ll need at least an Intel Core i3-4160 or an AMD equivalent, 8GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 or an AMD Radeon R9 270, and 75GB of HDD storage space.
For the recommended specs list, the game asks for an Intel Core i7-4770K or an AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 16GB of RAM, and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or an AMD Radeon RX 480. Storage requirements, though, go all the way up to 110GB on an SSD.
The PC version of the game is also an optional 30GB high-res texture pack, which may explain the extra storage space used. There’s also support for ultrawide and multi-monitor setups, as well as uncapped frame rates.
Though, if you want the optimal experience with Marvel’s Avengers, you may actually need a beefier system. Beta impressions so far hasn’t been stellar on the PlayStation 4 Pro, to say the least. Hopefully Crystal Dynamics put the game through some serious optimisation before the release.
