Apple has announced that its 27-inch iMac has now been refreshed with plenty of new hardware. This round of refresh has made the model as the most powerful and capable iMac to date according to the company even though the general design of the all-in-one system remains identical to its 2019 predecessor.
Among the major hardware change included in the 2020 iteration is the new 10th Gen Intel Core processors. Customers have the option to equip their new iMac with up to Intel Core i9 10-core CPU with a base clock speed of 3.6GHz and Turbo Boost clock of 5.0GHz.
The new model can also be equipped with up to AMD Radeon 5700 XT graphics that is also inclusive of 16GB GDDR6 VRAM. Additionally, the newly refreshed 2020 27-inch iMac can support RAM capacity of up to 128GB while in terms of storage, its solid state drive option maxes out at 8TB.
Other upgrades that Apple has performed on its 27-inch iMac includes nano-texture glass option for its Retina 5K display and higher resolution 1080p FaceTime HD camera as well as better speakers and microphone array. Even though the new model has just been announced by the company, you are already able to order it through Apple Malaysia’s online store immediately with a starting price of RM 7999.
