It was rumoured that Samsung is working on a Fan Edition (FE) for its Galaxy S20 smartphone back in June. Thanks to a recent leak that was uploaded recently, we may have a good look at its design. Well, at least a front view of it.
A leaked render of the S20 FE was provided by Evan Blass (aka evleaks), which showcases the alleged device’s display. The leaker suggests that the phone will be based on the Plus variant of the S20 series and may feature similar specifications as well.
Based on the render, what sets it apart from the S20 Plus is that it lacks a curved display and favours a flat panel instead. The FE is said to feature either a 6.5 or 6.7-inch screen and a battery capacity of 4,500mAh. Other specifications are unknown for now but according to fellow leakster Ice Universe, the phone may sport a 12MP wide and ultra-wide camera as well as an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom.
As with most unofficially announced products, the legitimacy of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is still up in the air – that is, until the company itself is ready to confirm the product. Even so, it is quite unlikely that Samsung will announce this smartphone during its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, and may introduce it on a separate date.
