We first saw hints of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 all the way back in January this year. It was then globally on our shores earlier this month. And now, the company is finally announcing when it will be putting the wearable on shelves.
For its specs, the Mi Band 5 will likely come with the same innards that we saw during its initial launch in China. Going with that, we’re looking at a 1.1-inch 126 x 294 AMOLED display, 512KB of RAM, 16MB of internal storage, and a 125mAh battery.
Though it remains to be seen if we’re also getting an NFC variant, alongside one without it. And while it’s technically possible, it’s very unlikely that we’ll be getting the many different special editions of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 that tie in with popular culture.
At any rate, the company is scheduling the official launch of the Mi Band 5 for 24th July. We’ll have to wait for the launch day itself to find out what its official price is like, as well as the variants that are making its way here. Don’t hold your breath for the special editions though.
