Technically, there are already a lot of things that OnePlus revealed about this phone including its design and some of its hardware. Nevertheless, true to its promise, the company has now officially launched its new phone, the OnePlus Nord.
The new phone is essentially a mid-ranger model which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor. Being equipped with the processor, this means that Nord is also a 5G phone since the Snapdragon 765G features the integrated Snapdragon X52 5G modem.
The Nord also comes with a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display that has native refresh rate of 90Hz. In terms of memory and storage, the phone maxed out at 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS2.1 flash chip, respectively.
As per our previous report, OnePlus has equipped Nord with a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor into its main camera. Alongside the main snapper, there are also three more cameras including an 8MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP depth camera, and 2MP macro camera.
The Nord also carries a dual selfie camera system that comprises of the 32MP Sony IMX616-based main shooter and another 8MP ultra-wide camera. Completing its general hardware specifications are a 4115mAh battery that supports OnePlus’ own Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology.
While it has been confirmed before that OnePlus will officially release Nord in Malaysia soon, the company did not reveal the local pricing of the phone today though. The price of the phone differs from market to market with the starting price in India as the lowest among the three launch markets at INR 24999 (~RM 1430).
In the United States, the Nord will have a starting price of USD 399 (~RM 1700) while OnePlus will be releasing it in Europe for EU 379 (~RM1857) onwards. We’ll keep you posted once we get more information from OnePlus regarding the imminent arrival of Nord in our market.
