With just around two weeks to go before the next Galaxy Unpacked launch event takes place on 5 August, the President and Head of Mobile Communications Business for Samsung, Dr TM Roh has published a rather interesting post on the company’s newsroom.
In addition to talking about how mobile technology has made an impact throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, he has also sprinkled some titbits regarding the event. For example, TM has revealed that Samsung will be launching five new “power devices” at the Galaxy Unpacked event next month.
While he did not reveal the exact name of these devices inside the post, TM did point out that these devices will be on users’ hand, ears, and wrist. Based on the current rumours, this is likely a reference to the Galaxy Note20, Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Tab S7/S7+, Galaxy Buds Live, and Galaxy Watch 3.
It has also been rumoured that the Galaxy Z Flip 5G might be launched at the event as well. TM has also briefly touched on the company’s collaboration with Google, Microsoft, Netflix, and Spotify which covers video call optimization, product integration, cross-platform communication, and even cloud gaming.
Additionally, the executive has also pointed out that this is the first time that the Galaxy Unpacked event will take place at the company’s home market, South Korea. All in all, seems like Samsung will be unleashing plenty of announcements at the event which will take place at 10 PM Malaysian time on 5 August.
Do note (heh) that Samsung Malaysia has also opened a dedicated registration of interest website for the Galaxy Unpacked event right here, in case you want to receive updates regarding these upcoming devices directly from Samsung.
