Since its starting operations last year, MyGroser allowed for people in the Klang Valley to buy groceries without leaving home. Now, the online grocery-shopping platform has partnered with e-commerce platform Shopee.
The result of this partnership is an official MyGroser store within Shopee. This allows the former to get access to the latter’s user base. In turn, this makes the online grocery store more accessible to others that may not have a dedicated account for it, but has one for the e-commerce platform.
If you already buy from MyGroser, this just gives you the option of being able to buy groceries from the company, but on another platform. As for those who use Shopee, this mean getting one additional source for groceries instead. If you already buy frequently for both, then this likely wouldn’t make much of a difference to you.
That being said, looks like the partnership doesn’t extend the services of MyGroser beyond the Klang Valley. It’s probably also worth noting that this is strictly a MyGroser thing. And so it doesn’t involve EatLokal, which is operated by the same company.
