Xiaomi today officially pulled back the veil on its Mi TV Stick. As the name suggests, the stick is an Android TV device, designed to easily be plugged into your an HDMI port of your TV.
As with all Android TV devices, the Mi TV Stick comes integrated with Google Assistant but more importantly, it also has Chromecast built-in. Enabling consumers to stream content from any Android smartphone. Moreover, the accessory also comes with support for Dolby and DTS Surround Sound.
There are some limitations, though. For starters, the Mi TV Stick is only good for resolutions up to Full HD, so if you’re planning on sticking it into a 4K TV, you’re out of luck. That aside, the stick also comes bundled with a Bluetooth remote, complete with dedicated Netflix and Amazon Prime video buttons. The latter clearly designed for country with access to the service.
The price of the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick starts from 39.99 Euros (~RM195) and from the looks of it, the product will first see circulation within Europe. Sadly, Xiaomi Malaysia did not mention local availability or pricing at the time of the announcement.
