The Malaysian Ministry of Health has its own chatbot on WhatsApp to answer COVID-19-related queries you might have. Both the National Security Council and the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre have made the announcement on their official Telegram channels.
The idea behind the WhatsApp chatbot is pretty straightforward. Though the bot, you’ll be able to get the latest info on the COVID-19 updates, including the latest stats in the country. Being a chatbot, another major benefit is you don’t have to wait in a call queue to have your questions answered. And if the chatbot has the answers to your questions, you’ll be able to get them a lot faster.
Or at least that’s the idea. As it is now, the chatbot doesn’t come with a command list. We also haven’t gotten a reply from the chatbot when we prompted it, which points to it still not being online just yet. But for what it’s worth, WhatsApp says this chatbot is legit, so you shouldn’t have to worry about it too much.
At any rate, if you wish to give the Ministry of Health’s WhatsApp chatbot a try, you can do so by scanning the QR code above.
