These days, fast-chargers and its accompanying fast-charging technology have become a staple for a variety of smartphones, with the highest charging rate currently peaking at 65W. OPPO seems adamant in changing the standard again, if an official posting by the brand is anything to go by.
The brand’s posting on its official Twitter account suggests that it has a new fast-charging technology that allows up to 125W of super flash charging. Additionally, a full and proper announcement is expected to be made this week on 15 July.

Fast-charging technology isn’t anything to new on the market, especially not to smartphone brands like OPPO. Last year, the brand both showed off its 65W SuperVOOC Fast Charge 2.0 technology. That is capable of charging a 4000mAh phone in just 30 minutes.
OPPO isn’t the only brand that makes its own ultra-fast charging solutions. Xiaomi, for example, also showed off its own 100W Supercharger that is capable of charging a device from zero to 100% in just under 17 minutes.
Be that as it may, there’s no doubt that OPPO has been at the forefront of this. That said, we just have to wait another two days to find out what and how OPPO intends to both introduce and distribute the new 125W charging technology.
