It’s been one leak after another for Ubisoft. Following the reveal of Far Cry 6 ahead of schedule yesterday, today it’s of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Or more precisely, its release date, since the gameplay is already out and about.
A now deleted Instagram post on the official Italian Assassin’s Creed account was a video revealing the date. A Reddit user u/pipos666 managed to record the video before it was taken down. And at the very start of the video was the date of 17 November.
If you’re already waiting for Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll remember that the game comes out on 19 November. This puts the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla just two days before. With such a small gap in between, it’s hard to imagine people picking up both games and trying to play them both at the same time.
This situation is also similar to the previous game, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which launched in the start of October 2018. Red Dead Redemption 2 was released at the tail end of the same month.
With the Ubisoft Forward online event coming up later tonight, we’ll know for sure if this is indeed the release date for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The date also coincides with the release window of the next generation consoles.
