The upcoming Ubosoft Forward event promises to show a number of games like Watch Dogs: Legion and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Far Cry 6 may also be among the games that will make an appearance. That is, if a recent leak is to be believed.
Eurogamer reports that Far Cry 6 was revealed a little earlier than it should have, on what looks like the Hong Kong PlayStation Store. The page itself has since been removed, but not before a few important details have been gleamed from it. And right on the cover, it looks like Giancarlo Esposito may be playing the game’s primary villain called Anton Castillo. This may be a person you recognise if you’ve watched the Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian series.
The player, on the other hand, will enter the world of Far Cry 6 as Dani Rojas, a guerrilla fighter. The game will take place in the Esperanza, the capital of a fictional country called Yara, which may have taken inspiration from a country in Central America.
According to Eurogamer, the now-removed PlayStation Store page also says that PS4 copies of Far Cry 6 can be upgraded to PS5 versions for free. The same may also apply to Xbox One versions of the game. At any rate, we’ll likely learn more, and confirm if all this is true, during the Ubisoft Forward event.
