Samsung has recently announced the date for the official launch of their upcoming Galaxy Note 20 series, which will debut next month. Typical for every highly anticipated smartphone release; the closer the launch date approaches, the more supposed leaks will surface online.
Just last week, we covered that the company’s Russian and Ukrainian websites had “accidentally” leaked images of the Ultra variant from the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 line-up. The photos provided us with rendered images of the device, showcasing its design and especially its rear cameras.
Fresh from leak-land, the internet has yet again provided us with more leaks of the Note 20 Ultra, courtesy of Youtuber Jimmy is Promo. This time around are alleged live photos of the device, showcasing the smartphone in all of its glory.
The photos reveal that the Note 20 Ultra sports three prominent cameras on its rear setup, with one smaller sensor which is believed to be a 3D ToF or laser autofocus. It’s been speculated that the main camera could be an updated 108MP sensor, while the second is an ultra-wide and the third appears to be a periscope-styled telephoto camera.
Looking at its front, the smartphone has lightly rounded corners similar to its predecessors while its display features a curved display with thin bezels. Not forgetting that on the upper part of the alleged Note 20’s display is also a single punch-hole selfie camera cutout. Other than that, a lock button and volume rocker is visible on its right-hand side.
It appears that photos check out with the designs of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra that was previously unveiled in the last leak, as well as from renders from known leakers such as OnLeaks and LetsGoDigital. Also worth noting that the photos from Jimmy is Promo is also the first time we get to see the phone in action as well – albeit merely showing some shots with various Samsung One UI menus on its screen. Additionally, the leaker reveals that the Note 20’s S-pen could also function as a remote pointer for the device – enabling it to select icons and navigate its interface.
It’s quite likely that this won’t be the last time we’ll be seeing more of the phone unofficially, especially that some individuals have somehow gotten their hands on an alleged unit. We just hope Samsung still has some surprises to show off by the time the Galaxy Note 20 series launches next month on 5 August 2020.
