In conjunction with the Ubisoft Forward online event, the game publisher is giving away Watch Dogs 2 for free. Well, in monetary terms it’s free, but you’ll have to work for it in a sense to get it.
According to Ubisoft’s blog post, you’ll have to log into your Uplay account during the main show to get Watch Dogs 2 for free. The main event starts 3AM on 13 July, which is undoubtedly quite an inconvenient time to be awake. But depending on the value of the game to you, it could be worth it. There’s no telling if being AFK will still get you the game for now.
There is also a pre-show which starts at 1.30AM, where “the Ubisoft News team and friends will be playing Trackmania live on stream. This pre-show segment will also have some news and interviews. But the main event is what you’ll want to watch if you want to know more about Ubisoft’s upcoming games, like Watch Dogs: Legion and the recently leaked Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
If you want to watch the stream in addition to getting the free copy of Watch Dogs 2, then you can tune into the show on YouTube, Twitch, and Mixer.
