What do you think about the Fallout series having a TV show? Because it looks like that’s what’s happening, judging from the teaser Amazon Studios has put up on Twitter. And there are some very big names attached to the making of the series too.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Fallout TV show will be made by Kilter Films. This is the production company behind the Westworld series, run by Jonah Nolan and Lisa Joy. Fallout IP owner and the games’ publisher Bethesda will also be overlooking the making of the TV series. Todd Howard, the executive producer and game director of the Fallout game series, will also be an executive producer in the project.

Despite the teaser, it looks like the Fallout TV show won’t be out any time soon. After all, the project has not been assigned a writer just yet. But for what it’s worth, if the folks at Amazon like it, then we’ll be getting a whole series. This is due to something called the series commitment penalty, which allows a series to bypass the usual pilot stage.
Bethesda’s Fallout series is far from being in good shape, in no small part thanks to its most recent entry, Fallout 76. A Fallout TV show may work in the series’ favour, but with the series still so early in development, it remains to be seen if that will really be the case.
