Just yesterday, the release date of Crysis Remastered was leaked by its page on the Microsoft Store. Alongside it was a trailer that looked a lot like the trailer for the original game from back in 2007. Crytek has caught wind of this, and has decided to delay the launch of the game to give it more polish.
The game’s Twitter account shared a pretty lengthy post detailing the decision. But ultimately, all it really says is that Crysis Remastered will get delayed by a few weeks. The exact number of weeks was not shared, unfortunately.
At the same time, pre-orders for the title will also be delayed. The exception to this is the Nintendo Switch, as the pre-orders for the platform has already started.

If you’ve not watched the trailer, the original upload has been made private. That said, it’s not difficult in the slightest to find one of the many reuplods of the leaked trailer. And once you’ve watched that, it’s not difficult to see why the devs have decided to delay the game.
At any rate, this now means that Crysis Remastered has gone from having a release date to not having one. It remains to be seen when will Crytek feel confident enough with the remaster to announce a new release date.
