Earlier today, ASUS officially announced that it was adding two new models to its VivoBook series: the S14 and S15. Both laptops are 14-inch and 15-inch machines, respectively, but more importantly, they are also the first Vivobook laptops to ship out with the latest Intel 10th Generation processors.
The hardware specifications for both notebooks are nearly identical, save for the few obvious differences in key components. Specifically, the VivoBook S14 ships out of the box with an Intel Core i7-10510U CPU and a 14-inch LED backlit Full HD display. While the VivoBook S15 comes with the Core i5-10210U CPU and 15.6-inch Full HD display instead.
Besides that, both the S14 and S15 feature ship out with an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 discrete GPU, 8GB DDR4-2666MHz RAM, an Intel Optane Memory H10 SSD combo – comprising 32GB Optane memory and a 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD – Intel Wi-Fi 6, and the same 50WHr 3-cell Li-Po battery. They even ship out with the same number of ports, including a USB-A 3.1 Gen1, USB-C 3.1 Gen1, two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI 1.4 output, a 3.5mm audio combo jack, and a microSD card reader. Weight-wise, the S14 weighs in at 1.4kg, while the S15 weighs in at 1.8kg.
The VivoBook S14 and S15 are available for purchase starting today. As for their pricing, the S14 retails for RM3699 while the S15 retails for RM3199. Also, because they are part of the VivoBook lineup, both Ultrabooks are also available in four colour variations: Dreamy Silver, Indie Black, Gaia Green, and Resolute Red.
