Activision Blizzard officially announced Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. The game is described as being a true sequel to the franchise, picking up directly after the events of the third game, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, which launched over two decades ago.
According to the game’s official premise, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time picks up sometime after Neo Cortex, Dr. N. Tropy, and Uka Uka were left stranded on a distant planet by Crash and his friends. Now, after decades of futile attempts, the group finally made their escape, but not before tearing a massive “Evil Scientist-sized” hole in the space-time continuum.

Besides the obvious bump in the graphics department, and based on the official trailer, it’s clear that players will be able to play not just as Crash and his sister, Coco, but also as their arch-enemy, Neo Cortex, in what we’re guessing are level-specific to the character. Moreover, the game will also introduce new masks that introduce new powers and abilities for Crash – and perhaps, other characters – to use. One new power, in particular, allows Crash to defy gravity and walk on the ceilings of his immediate environment.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be out on 2 October this year at an SRP of US$59.99 (~RM256). The game will be available on both the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One.
