Huawei previously announced earlier in April that the P40 Pro Plus will be available in Malaysia, as well confirming its price. The company had recently revealed that the release date of the high-end variant of its flagship smartphone is slated for 26 June 2020.
The Huawei P40 Pro Plus features a 6.58-inch 90Hz, Quad Curve, Flex OLED display with a pill-shaped cutout that houses a 32MP AF camera, an IR depth & gesture camera, and an ambient & proximity sensor. Hardware-wise, it is equipped with a Kirin 990 5G chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage with expandable memory of up to 256GB via NM Card. The phone is also rated IP68 for water resistance, and comes with a battery capacity of 4,200mAh with fast charging and wireless charging support.
What mostly sets the Plus model apart from the other P40 variants is its camera setup. On its back is a penta-camera setup, comprising a 50MP Ultra Vision Wide, a 40MP Ultra Wide Cine, an 8MP 10x Optical Telephoto, an 8MP 3x Optical Telephoto, and a Time of Flight (TOF) depth sensor.
The Huawei P40 Pro Plus will be priced at RM4,999 and is only available in Ceramic White. As part of the promotion for the device’s launch, each purchase of the P40 Pro Plus comes with freebies from the company worth over RM1,300 while stocks last.
The gifts include a pair of Huawei Freebuds 3, a 40W SuperCharge Wireless Charger Stand, free access for up to a 3-month subscription to Huawei Video, a 12-month subscription to 5GB Huawei Mobile Cloud Storage, and an extended 1-year warranty and 1-month screen protection.
Those interested in the Plus variant can purchase it via the Huawei Malaysia official online store starting at 10.08am on 26 June 2020.
