It’s pretty uncommon to see a game becoming free to claim for more than one platform at a time. But that’s what’s going on with Injustice: Gods Among Us right now. The game is currently free to claim on Steam as well as on the PlayStation Store.
Then again, maybe it shouldn’t be so surprising that the game is free. After all, the game is now seven years old, and even has a three-year old sequel. Fans of the fighting game genre would’ve picked this up a long time ago, so this is likely a move to expand the series’ audience.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is made by NetherRealm Studios, the devs behind the Mortal Kombat series. It’s also published by WB Games. Put these two together and you’ll find a game that’s extremely familiar to its more violent cousin. You can also expect the same level of detail in the characters, their movement, as well as dialogue, though this series has more reused lines compared to MK.
At any rate, remember to pick up Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition on both Steam and the PlayStation Store whenever you can. The game is free on both platforms until 25 June.
