The last game before the current Hitman trilogy was Hitman: Absolution. If you’re a fan of the series, chances are you’ve already played it before. If you’ve not, or just want a trip down memory lane, then act fast, as it’s currently free on GOG.
Hitman: Absolution is one of the more complicated entries in the series, especially where the plot is concerned. On the gameplay front, you can expect most of the familiar elements from the series to be here as well. It also had an online portion called Contracts, but this mode is already defunct as the servers for it has been shut down.
Claiming the game on GOG also means a number of things. One is that the game is DRM-free. This means that once you claim it, you can install it any number of times, on any number of PCs. And once that’s done, you won’t even need to be logged into your GOG account to play the game.
Looking at the timer, you’ll be able to claim Hitman: Absolution until about 9PM. So if you wan’t the game, you’ll have to act fast. Even if you’re not particularly interested, there’s no harm in adding it to your backlog, and return to it at a later date. Earlier in the month, the platform also gave away Total Annihilation, a classic RTS title.
