Initially introduced back in November of last year, the Adobe Photoshop Camera app is now officially available on both iOS and Android devices. For the latter, it’s worth noting that the app is only available for newer Pixel, Samsung Galaxy, and OnePlus devices at this time.
Despite having “Photoshop” in its name, the camera app leans more towards the effects and filters side of photography rather than professional-oriented. Instead of featuring robust image editing features, Photoshop Camera lets users apply stylish filters (known as “Lenses”) to their photos or selfies in real-time, even before snapping the image.
The app is powered by Adobe’s own Sensei AI system, which could instantly recognise subjects in the camera’s live view. This would allow it to automatically add effects accordingly onto subjects or around them – based on the choice of filter or effects that is used.
Speaking of which; the app offers a wide variety of Lenses for users to choose from, and also features those designed or inspired by artists and influencers, such as Billie Eilish. As mentioned earlier, Photoshop Camera is available for free on both App Store and Play Store.
