Starting from 2 June, authorised dealers throughout Malaysia have begun to accept pre-orders for two of the latest products from the Microsoft Surface family. Aside from the Surface Go 2, the other model is the Surface Book 3.
The third-generation Surface Book which was just announced to the world last month features detachable form factor looks identical to its 2019 predecessor. However, the 2020 model carries a new set of hardware that boost its performance up to 50% more than the Surface Book 2.
Here are the specs and pricing for Surface Book 3 with a 13.5-inch display in Malaysia:
RM 7,788: Intel Core i5-1035G7 / Intel Iris Plus Graphics / 8GB RAM/ 256GB SSD
RM 9,688: Intel Core i7-1065G7 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q / 16GB RAM/ 256GB SSD
RM 1,1688: Intel Core i7-1065G7 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q / 32GB RAM/ 512GB SSD
As for the other Surface Book 3 variant that comes with a 15-inch display, only one consumer-based variant will be made available at launch. This particular model comes standard with Intel Core i7-1065G7, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q graphics, 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD alongside a price tag of RM 13,088.
Being the highest-end device within the Surface family together with its advanced form factor, it is not surprising to see that the prices for Surface Book 3 models are rather on the premium side of things.
