Normally, getting the latest updates as soon as possible is a good thing to do. But the recent iPadOS 13.4.1 is among the instances where it’s not, especially if you have an iPad Pro. A number of the tablet’s owners have reported facing the issue on its support forums.
According to Appleinsider, one couple of users claims their 105.-inch iPad Pro reboots itself between 30 and 45 seconds after logging in. This happens even without any apps running, and started after getting the iPadOS 13.4.1. Another user claims to have a similar issue with the 11-inch iPad Pro as well. But in this case, the iPad Pro reboots every 10 minutes.
It’s also an issue that may not be solved by resetting the iPad Pro to factory default. One user claims to have gone through the process twice to check if it was personal data that causes the rebooting. When that didn’t help, it’s understandable why the fault seems to lie with the iPadOS 13.4.1 update.
The worst part is probably the fact that it’s a problem that has not been patched yet. On Apple’s forums, the latest post regarding this problem is dated 29 May. And it doesn’t look like the iPadOS 13.5 has solved the issue either. So the best way to not be affected by this bug is probably to hold off getting the update for now.
