Following the OPPO Reno Ace Gundam Edition last year, the company has another special edition phone this year. It’s the OPPO Reno Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition, and can I just say that it looks great.
The Reno Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition borrows a lot from the Unit-01. This ranges from the overall purple colour scheme to the green, almost gold, trimmings. It also come with a similarly-styled case, a SIM eject pin that looks like the Spear of Longinus. It also has a box that looks like a stubby entry plug.
The phone itself comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ 90Hz display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 4000mAh battery supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging, which tops it up to full in 30 minutes.
On cameras, the OPPO Reno Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition has a 48MP + 8MP +2MP + 2MP quad camera setup at the back. In front, it comes with a 16MP camera sitting in a punch hole cutout on the left corner.
As the name suggests, the OPPO Reno Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition is really limited in number. According to Engadget, only 10000 of the phone is made. These will be available in China startign1 June for CNY4199 (~RM2554).
Also available on this day is the OPPO Watch that comes with an Asuka Langley Soryu theme. This is also limited to 10000 units, each priced at CNY2199 (~RM1338). Similarly, there’s the Enco W31 true wireless earbuds with a Rei Ayanami skin for CNY399 (~RM243). There’s also an EVA-themed wireless charging pad for the price of CNY299 (~RM182), but only 5000 of these have been made.
No word on if these will be available outside of China, let alone on our shores, just yet.
